Ah! My favorite comic supervillain!! Well actually, Mags here is tied with several other villains for my favorite villain but anyway... :) (Smile)

A really old drawing. This's around 2-3 years old. It was unfinished so I just picked up where I left off. It was missing the legs and the left arm so I added them in with a blue pencil first. Then rendered with a 0.5 mech pencil. Then inked with 0.1 and 0.8 pens.

Things I'm not happy with:
a) The left leg is supposed to look like its farther back into the background but I was only successful in making Mags look like he was struck by polio at an early age, thus the shortened leg. LOL! :D (Big Grin)

b) The shading leaves much to be desired. I made big directional shading mistakes on the major muscle group of the right leg. The crosshatching is very unsure also.

c) Magneto does NOT have a black helmet. LOL! :D (Big Grin)

d)The shading is too heavy in certain areas. The right fist is one of them.

e) I used a compass on the force rings and I still made squibbles. :( (Sad)

Feel free to point out any other errors you see guys. It'd be greatly appreciated. :) (Smile)

well this is actually wel ldone. muscle structure and such is nice and plus the shading is done well. the pose is just great too. dont critic yourself so much take pride in your work eh?

sweet! I would say that if you have so much shading on his body you might want to put some on the cape too. Other wise it looks rather flat and doesn't hold up with your drawing!

A very nice pose, but the anatomy is off. I know you pointed out things like the leg etc but I have a few more.

His hands are way to big, and the muscles on his legs and raised arm are incorrect. You have too many muscles there, if you try using some referece you will see what I mean. I think this is a little over shadowed. If you tried putting in less emphasis on some part, anatomical errors wouldnt stick up so much and it wouldn't detract from the picture. Less is more. A great book to use as reference for muscles on men is "drawing the male figure" by Giovanni Civardi. I used to have some of the same problems with anatomy that you have, but this guys books are an amazing help. Hope that helps you too :) (Smile)

nice work but i also think you should shade in the cape but dont put urself down dude this is some great work and you should colour it on photoshop or something!
